2017/03/15 Sightseeing information
Sayabashi (Saya Bridge) is a wooden bridge across over the Kanakura River. Because it’s look like a scabbard when you look at the side of this bridge, that’s why Japanese call this bridge Saya Bridge (Saya means scabbard in Japanese).
Since 1922, it is prohibited to pass the Saya Bridge. Only God and God’s palanquin can pass this bridge during festival.
